Waterproofing with polyurethane membranes is the best sealing solution thanks to its composition of polyurethane resins. The membrane successfully resists to the motions and deformations of the substrate, which is it is still effective even a few decades after its application. Unlike other waterproofing products, polyurethane resins adhere to a wide range of surfaces, including: concrete, mortar, ceramics, steel, tile, brick, etc. Its application is simple through the typical procedures: with the roller or the brush. Drying takes little time when in contact with the air humidity.

CONSISTENT SURFACE COVERAGE

The thin film obtained by casting of the polyurethane materials is flexible and it ensures a perfect seal and a consistent coverage of the selected surface. For a better adherence this application method automatically removes the adhesives used when solid membrane was used for waterproofing, and the grout or the traces of joints. In the end result is a completely smooth, homogeneous and refined polyurethane waterproofing. APPLICATIONS ON MULTIPLE TYPES OF SURFACES

The polyurethane membrane waterproofing can be applied on many surface types, from concrete and mortar to steel, tile, gypsum etc. Polyurethane foam waterproofing services are especially used to insulate terraces, without requiring any additional layers for protection or to increase its resistance to traffic. It is also the best solution for balconies, roofs, verandas, car parkings, asphalt membranes, boilers and other structures. The material used already contains a small amount of solvent, so it doesn’t require any diluent or other components to be added. Resins have a low viscosity and they are applied in uniform layers according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

Polyurethane membrane waterproofing is not recommended in a few situations when it’s less effective: when surfaces are flawed at the time of application, for swimming pools and for UV exposed surfaces, if dark colors are chosen. Otherwise, the polyurethane membrane guarantees an excellent protection to climatic and UV rays, as well as a thermal resistance. It performs very well under mechanical stress and abrasion and once dried it’s not toxic.
